OPUWO RURAL CONSTITUENCY COUNCILLOR SWORN IN

Western Uakaisiua Muharukua, Regional Councilor of Opuwo Rural Constituency Has been Sworn in as the Chairperson of Kunene Regional Council. Muharukua Replaces Hendrik Gaobeb who is now a Member of the National Assembly.

The Council also Noinated Johannes Hishidimwa Antsino, Regional Councilor of Outjo Constituency as a Member of the Council's Management Committee.

OPUWO ANNUAL TRADE FAIR, 2025

On 27 May 2025, Hon. Elijah Ngurare officially opened the Opuwo Annual Trade Fair, alongside Kunene Region Governor Hon. Vipuakuje Ivan Muharuka, regional and local authority councilors, traditional leaders and the community of Kunene Region.

24 MASS HOUSING UNITS IN OPUWO

The long-awaited completion of 24 mass housing units in Opuwo which had been delayed for 20 years, finally took a step forward today. The Minister of Urban and Rural Development, Hon. Sankwasa James Sankwasa officially handed over the construction site marking a significant milestone for the project.

During the event, Minister Sankwasa urged Betonstein Construction CC to carry out the work with diligence and ensure the project's completion by the upcoming December deadline.
